Cofounder and VP of Technology Development

Steve Savoy is cofounder and vice-president of technology development for Nanohmics, Inc. Steve’s main responsibilities include developing new research programs, managing new technology development efforts and directing all research related initiatives in material and microfabricated sensors/devices. Serving at the director level, Steve is an integral decision maker in financial and business development matters for programs related to tech development and contract R&D/engineering.

The company’s leading-edge research is complemented with Steve’s strong focus on lithographic processing/deposition, nanoimprinted sensors, optical and electronic material systems, molecular/biomolecular interfaces and associated surface chemistry along with his expertise in packaging of nanomaterial/nanocomposite structures with macroscopic interfaces in the fabrication of nanostructured devices that typically are scaled to high volume manufacturing.

Steve has a Ph.D. in materials chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds six patents, has another eight patents pending and is the author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications.
