The AMPV Biologicals Refrigerator is a powered refrigeration unit that allows heat-sensitive materials to be transported through environments where users might experience vehicle power interruptions. The system features a unique payload area surrounded with phase change material (PCM) to keep the payload at constant temperature. A compressor-based refrigeration system provides active cooling when power is available. The evaporator of the refrigeration system is submerged in the PCM to allow direct charging (freezing) of the PCM. Additionally, the payload and PCM are insulated with a high-R-value polyurethane foam.
A principal area of Nanohmics’ expertise is in optics, electro-optic systems and instruments employing optical transduction or detection. A specialty is low-noise optical detection. Nanohmics has experience in engineering optimal architectures for low-signal-level optical detection in fluorescence, laser-radar, and remote-sensing applications.
A wide range of services are available, from assistance with small technical hurdles to full custom prototype instrumentation development and low-volume production. Nanohmics staff has built hundreds of prototype instruments for startup, Fortune 500, and large aerospace companies, as well as for dozens of federal agencies.
